Bird Island Trail in Point Lobos
Yesterday I visited Point Lobos in Carmel. Carmel is a beautiful costal town in California, about six hours away from Los Angeles by car. This was my first time visiting Carmel. I was impressed by all the scenic places it has and the charm of Ocean Avenue.
There is so much to do in Point Lobos. From all the many trails you can hike, to having a picnic, or going to Gibson Beach for a swim. Before visiting Point Lobos, I knew I wanted to see China Cove. Sometimes seals hang out by this area that has emerald waters. I took the Bird Island Trail which is about a 30 minute easy hike roundtrip. The whole trail has scenic views which include China Cove, Bird Island, ocean caves, and access to Gibson Beach.
Ayer visité Point Lobos en Carmel. Carmel es una hermosa ciudad costera en California, a unas seis horas de Los Ángeles en coche. Esta fue la primera vez que visité Carmel. Me impresionaron todos los lugares pintorescos que tiene y el encanto de Ocean Avenue.
Hay tanto que hacer en Point Lobos. De todos los caminos que puedes tomar, hacer un picnic, o ir a la playa de Gibson para nadar. Antes de visitar Point Lobos, sabía que quería ver China Cove. A veces las focas se juntan en esta área que tiene aguas de color esmeralda. Tomé el Bird Island Trail, que es un camino fácil de 30 minutos de ida y vuelta. Todo el camino tiene vistas panorámicas que incluyen China Cove, Bird Island, cuevas oceánicas y acceso a la playa de Gibson.

Wow! I would have never imagined that a place like this existed within California. The water looks beautiful and the birds look awesome. Can you feed the animals here? Do they have restrooms? What time of day did you do this amazing hike? The waters here look really gorgeous and your pictures are really beautiful. I feel the same way. This side of California has extreme beauty. Feeding the animals is not allowed. The animals should not be fed because they will grow dependent on humans and they need to survive on their own. There are restrooms located before this hike trail and you can also find more restrooms in other parts of Point Lobos. I did this hike around noon. Currently the weather in Carmel is not hot. Noon is a good time because in the morning it might be too foggy and colder. Thank you so much for liking my post. I am looking forward sharing more of my adventures. 😀
